Winnipeg Blue Bombers +11.5 (-110) -- 1 unit: I'm not a fan of matchups where one of the 3 elite teams plays one of the 5 other teams. However, this is actually a good spot for the Blue Bombers. They are 2-5, and I've not been a fan of the team, but when you're getting this many points with a QB who doesn't turn the ball over, against a banged up RB (Coburne), it's hard not to take a shot. Winnipeg ranks in the middle of the pack in passing, but you have to remember that they have gone through a few adjustment periods this year, and if they'd had a healthy Buck or Jyles for the entire year they may be top 3. They have a very talented WR core, and arguably the best OL in the East. The passing game will be essential, as I expect the Als to shut down Reid. On the Montreal side, you have a team that might want to put their foot down after an embarrassing loss at Toronto, but you also have a team that is banged up with Calvillo and Coburne both at less than 100%. They are going up a very balanced defence that can defend against the run and pass adequately. To stop the Als, or at least minimize the damage, I believe this is the type of defence you need. They aren't the best, but there are no huge holes (i.e. Sasky secondary, Edm run defence). The Bombers have only lost one game by more than 11, and it's hard not to take the points.

Sounds good.

Just wanted to say that I hope all the CFL hardcores boycott watching/attending that Bills game tonight. I love the NFL, but it has no place in Canada. Besides, the Bombers/Als will be much more entertaining :)

Adding my biggest play of the year...

2nd Half Winnipeg Blue Bombers +2 (-110) -- 4 units: No Calvillo, the Bombers are a great 2nd half team, Bombers have momentum, and Montreal will just want to win this game, they don't care how. I might be on the wrong track here, but for me this is a no brainer. Chris Leak looks lost out there, and afraid to make a play. They will give him a simplistic game plan at halftime, but I'd guess the goal is to eat up minutes.

Last night was soooo painful. To have the Alouettes not only score 15 in the 4th quarter, but to put up at TD with a minute left ONLY because Winnipeg gets an unnecessary roughness penalty AFTER they have stopped the Als on 2nd down... well that is a definite turning point for my season. Time to get back on track.

Hamilton Tiger Cats +2.5 (-105) -- 2 units:
Hamilton must be happy to just play another team than the Bombers. You can bet they won't be taking this game lightly. Hamilton has a great advantage in the fact that they are strictly a passing team, against an Argos secondary that I have ranked 2nd last, only better than Sasky. Toronto gets a lot of credit for how they played last week, but c'mon, they again managed to win a game without doing much on offence. Lemon was a meagre 13/19 for 268, while Calvillo was 37/49 for 450 yards! Imagine what Kevin Glenn can do... I'd guess he goes off for 400. If he can limit his turnovers, the Cats have an advantage in this game.

Maybe the only silver lining from last night....

"The only disappointment was the small crowd of 39,583 -- more than 14,000 below capacity -- that turned out for the fourth of an eight-game, five-year series the Bills are playing in Toronto."

"The big loser this week has been Rogers Communication, which has been under heavy criticism in the Toronto media this week for paying the Bills $78 million two years ago for the right to host the series, which runs through 2012."

Yah, thanks. Hamilton win was definitely needed. Bombers loss will sting for a while, but gotta move forward here... chip away at this deficit. Keep up the solid plays... I might resort to tailing you!! :)
